Overview: Bring together 100+ student athletes from Skyline High School and Laney College to connect with each other, and engage in interactive workshops to learn more about leadership, career development and social justice.
This immersive leadership and career development experience is designed to help student athletes translate skills from sport into future success. Through interactive workshops focused on leadership identity, career exploration, and social impact, students will work in teams to create a personalized “Impact Playbook” that captures who they are as leaders, the career paths they aspire to pursue, and how they can use sport as a platform for positive change.
The program features former professional athletes as well as career and leadership development specialists, who guide students through real-world scenarios, career mapping exercises, and community impact design challenges. By the end of the experience, each team will present a short pitch showcasing their leadership vision, career goals, and a community-focused initiative, leaving students with tangible tools, increased confidence, and a clearer sense of purpose beyond the game.
